Pressure Testing in Phoenix

Before anyone digs, listens or guesses, each line gets tested on its own. The one that will not hold is the one with the leak. That is the whole idea.

How it works

How a pressure test works

Isolate, pressurize, watch the gauge, write it down.

  1. Isolate the line

    Isolate the line

The run is plugged or valved at both ends so nothing else can affect the reading.

  2. Pressurize it

    Pressurize it

Water or air to the test pressure for that line, then the gauge is watched for the hold period.

  3. Read the drop

    Read the drop

A line that holds is clear. A line that drops is the leak, and how fast it drops says how big.

  4. Document it

    Document it

Line, pressure, hold time and result, in writing. Then we pinpoint if you want us to.

Good questions

Pressure testing questions, answered.

Straight answers from the Aqua Doctor team. If you don't see your question, give us a call.

It is the first half. The test proves which line is leaking. Detection then follows that line to the exact spot. Most visits include both; a test on its own is for when you only need the proof.

No. The pool stays full. The lines are plugged at the pool and tested from the equipment pad.

Not at the right pressure. Each line is tested at a pressure appropriate for its material and use, never beyond it.

One to two hours for a pool or a home. More lines, more time.

Yes. Every detection comes with written findings and photos showing where the leak is and what failed the test. Builders, warranty companies and adjusters get what they need.

Detection is a flat fee, quoted before we come out, based on what is being tested. Repairs are priced separately once the leak is found, and nothing starts without your approval.
